Human Resources Specialist _Recruiter

Recruiter needed for contract assignment in Richmond, VA.  This position requires you to be on-site from 8am to 5pm, Monday – Friday.  The initial engagement is for seven months with possible extension depending on volume of work.  

Qualifications

  • Requires at least 5 years full life cycle recruiting experience
  • Must be proficient and have a proven track record of sourcing, screening, cold calling, and presenting qualified, diverse candidates for professional, technical, and entry-level positions
  • Must have demonstrated experience working in a high volume hiring environment, primarily building relationships via the telephone
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience recruiting in a utility, manufacturing, or production environment is highly desirable
  • Previous applicant tracking system experience is required, Kenexa BrassRing (2XB) preferred
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment desirable

Job Description

  • This position provides recruiting support in addition to partnering closely with field HR and business leadership to execute a recruiting strategy that is consistent with the business goals.
  • The successful candidate must be able to build and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with Human Resources, the management team, and prospective candidates.
  • Partners with field HR on customer staffing needs, both internal and external
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers
  • Counsel hiring managers on issues such as recruiting trends, industry best practices, and diversity
  • Screens and phone interviews applicants based upon job description and job qualifications
  • Work with Staffing Administrator to schedule testing and face-to-face interviews with candidates
  • Work with field HR and hiring managers to develop appropriate job offers for candidates
  • Follow up with unsuccessful candidates •Updates applicant tracking system as necessary
