Hours: Monday – Friday – 9am to 2pm (mon-fri)
Pay Rate Range: $12.50/hr

Employment Description:
Under the supervision and direction of the Pastor, the Administrative Assistant to the Pastor shall maintain the orderly operation of the church office. He/she must possess good office management skills and church member relations skills. He/she must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, exhibit strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, perform general office administrative activities such as typing, copying, filing, and using the telephone in a manner that encourages positive public relations.
Job Duties
The Employee will coordinate the activities and administrative affairs of the Church as listed:
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Pastor.
- Coordinate the master calendar of activities and process initial requests for use of facilities.
- Process all incoming and outgoing communications (i.e. emails, faxes, telephone calls, etc).
- Maintain current listing of sick, homebound and hospitalized members.
- Make weekly telephone contact with sick, homebound, and hospitalized members.
- Correspond weekly with visitors by sending a letter.
- Perform data entry of entire church membership information.
- Manage all office functions to include ordering office supplies, submitting requisitions for invoice payables, etc.
- Support the Pastor by scheduling appointments; prepare memoranda/letters efficiently, etc.
- Be punctual and maintain a professional demeanor at all times in an effort to strive for and achieve the goals of the Church.
- Maintain appropriate office decorum and use of office facilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as administrative support-desired
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills are essential with a high degree of sensitivity for confidentiality - Required
- Excellent organizational skills - Required
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to manage time wisely
- Create/edit general correspondences, presentations, mail distribution, event and travel arrangements
- Must have 2 years experience and working knowledge of MS Office
Work Schedule
- 9:00 am - 2:00 pm – Monday through Friday.
