Job Title:  Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist

Rate:  $30-34/hr


This position will work closely with supply chain, business units and suppliers to improve timeliness and schedule of medium, complex and engineered equipment and capital projects in support of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project and other FERC 7 C growth projects.

Conduct meetings, both internal and external, with key stakeholders and communicate progress on tasks and duties assigned.

Capable of coordinating and influencing a wide range of functional support and subject matter experts across the organization to accomplish the goals and objectives.  

Read and understand the purchase order and specifications and provides assurance that contract compliance is realized. Analyze manufacturing and fabrication schedules. Proactively influence and engage suppliers to deliver compliant materials in accordance with the delivery dates and quantities required to meet and exceed customer expectations. Work with suppliers to ensure that all required documentation is provided with shipments as required by the purchase order.  Develop methods, processes and reports to status open orders. Track and communicate improvements and open issues. 

Strong ability to influence an acceptable resolution to identified issues by negotiating schedule improvements and delivery with suppliers at lowest financial impact. Work with the business to set priorities and communicate changes to help mitigate impacts on construction schedules.

Develop required change orders to purchasing documents and/or work with Sourcing Specialists, Scheduling, and Financial Controls organizations to ensure completion and delivery of materials required for work.

Work with company and supplier’s Transportation departments to identify best means of shipping and delivery.

Develops and administers measurement tools to track work load and interface with project engineering and internal stakeholders.

Performs trend analysis and identifies causes of late deliveries to reduce financial and schedule impacts of late orders.

Provide clear, concise communication of progress and providing updates as necessary to enable customer to meet project goals. 


2 - 4 years related experience of related experience.

Knowledge of materials/services delivery fulfillment processes.

Some knowledge of procurement practices, procedures and policies.

Some working knowledge of business and contract law.

Some knowledge of accounting concepts.

Knowledge of MRP/ERP/purchasing/logistics systems and processes.
