Administrative Specialis

Administrative Specialist needed for a well-known bank in Richmond, VA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs administrative and specialized assignments.
  • May also perform secretarial assignments.
  • Assists in office administration to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provides support to department management and/or staff.
  • May perform record keeping on various programs that require special handling or access to confidential/sensitive information.
  • Assists with compiling and analyzing data; writes and edits reports, and prepares general correspondence.
  • Assists in implementing new programs and procedures. Performs administrative duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
Intermediate level of proficiency with professional level desktop office products to write reports, prepare spreadsheets, presentations and organizational charts, document activities, maintain records, etc.

  • Intermediate level of analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills to effectively prepare and present reports from researched data, recommend, document, and implement new methods and procedures, and provide effective training to department staff in new administrative procedures.
  • Intermediate typing and ability to transcribe with speed and accuracy.
  • Intermediate level experience with automated systems to perform financial payment processes and input and maintain data for specified programs.
  • Interpersonal skills and self-disciplined to work independently on non-routine operational assignments. Knowledge of related Bank functions and office procedures.
  • General knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures to conduct studies, prepare spreadsheets and reports, assist in implementation of new policies/procedures, perform record keeping, financial and/or budget work, and audit compliance regulations, etc.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience.
