Personal Injury General Caseload and Litigation Paralegal


We are looking for a full-time Paralegal to fill an immediate opening with a Richmond Law Firm.  Candidates considered will possess 3-5 years of both litigation and general caseload experience with a Personal Injury law firm. The position requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize, follow directions in detail and coordinate all functions of a case with the attorney. Strong organizational skills are a must!

While maintaining professionalism, excellent client-relation skills and positive interpersonal skills, the paralegal is expected to manage all aspects of the non-lawyer duties of a case including, but not limited to:


  • Being the primary contact for clients
  • Use of case management system
  • Requesting medical records, evaluation and summarizing of medical records
  • Preparing settlement demand packages to mail out to insurance companies
  • Take new case calls
  • Additional duties as assigned



  • Must have experience drafting pleadings and having them filed in the court system
  • Drafting and answering interrogatories
  • Scheduling hearing dates with the court and other attorneys
  • Drafting and issuing subpoenas
  • Drafting jury instructions and preparing exhibits for trial
  • Must be comfortable drafting letters and using proper grammar.
  • Must be comfortable with and enjoy talking to clients who have been injured on a daily basis. 
  • Ability to handle difficult, busy, or confusing situations in a friendly and understanding manner
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS-Office.
