Contract Recruiter - Richmond, VA

Large financial services client is seeking a Recruiter for their Richmond office. This role will deal with a high volume of open job orders at once, and requires excellent organizational skills. 


  • The Recruiter will support the full life cycle recruiting for a number of different business lines 
  • This position works with the talent acquisition team, HR Business Partners and Business lines to plan, prioritize and execute on all activities related to recruitment and on-boarding.
  • The Recruiter will post jobs, conduct sourcing, promote candidates for hiring manager review, conduct screening, schedule interviews and make offers.
  • The Recruiter will be responsible for candidate and hiring team communication.
  • This position is responsible for acting in compliance with human resources policies and procedures and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. 


  • Thorough knowledge of corporate recruitment processes and recruitment strategies.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and apply policies, procedures and laws related to employment activities.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment and EEO policies, practices and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Maintains current knowledge of market, availability, skill requirements.
  • Translates knowledge into trends and appropriate actions. Ability to discern candidate requirements from manager meetings/documentation and translate into appropriate candidate selection from resumes and interviews.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in facilitating and conducting the selection, interviewing and hiring process. Advanced knowledge and skill in interviewing techniques, including ability to counsel others on conducting legally sound and effective interviews.
  • Ability to persuade and negotiate with all levels within the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact, both in person and via written communication, with applicants, hiring managers, peers, vendors and other contacts and employees.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize a varied workload. Ability to work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of leadership techniques to work with staff and hiring managers to ensure a professional, well-conducted hiring process.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience equal to 4 - 7 years recruiting experience. 

​Contract: 60-80 days - some possibility for extension

Pay rate: $30-$35 hourly

Background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting are required.
