Immediate need for an Inventory Planner for a well-known company in Richmond, VA.  This position will be responsible for effectively analyzing, requisitioning, and maintaining the appropriate indirect material inventory levels and the life cycle of those inventoried parts.  Excellent rate and benefits offered.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently analyzing and executing MRP transitions and related systems functionality in order to secure the required indirect materials
  • Ensuring effective use of requisitioning practices in support of cost optimization efforts internally focused with Company, and externally for procurement partners in order to minimize supplier disruption and excessive pass-thru costs.
  • Effectively collaborating with key stakeholders to resolve individual parts problems, planning information, and technical assistance to avoid manufacturing disruption.
  • Monitoring the acquisition of new parts coming into the machine parts inventory system by applying the requester’s technical knowledge regarding the function, criticality, and life expectancy of new items. Establish and review performance measures of new items via ad hoc inventory reports.
  • Providing support with internal compliance activities related to business continuity inventory practices, Sarbanes-Oxley controls and corporate audit requirements
  • Maintaining effective relationships with factory management, and internal/external supply chain partners to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring compliance to Company initiatives including, but not limited to, Code of Conduct, Quality Systems, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory
