Environmental Specialist
Qualifications:
- Experience in obtaining environmental permits such as Clean Water Act Section 401/404, Endangered Species Act Section 7, state and local Erosion and Sediment Control, and Stormwater Management Programs - Excellent organizational and interpersonal kills - Effective verbal and written communication - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Strong computer skills - Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making
Responsibilities:
Coordinate environmental permitting activities. Coordinate and ensure company programs and projects are in compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations. Promote corporate environmental policy by educating and assisting employees to seek innovative ways to ensure the environmental compliance of our operations. Prepare applications and securing environmental permits or clearances required for construction; Communication of environmental compliance requirements to project teams and field personnel; Conduct environmental compliance training. Inspect and provide advice on operations, construction, procedures, records and training to ensure compliance with environment requirements. Technical assistance to sites/projects for environmental compliance; Interpretation of environmental permits and regulations to ensure that compliance dates and requirements are met; Writing and editing reports related to environmental programs; Utilize electronic databases to analyze and monitor company compliance.
PAY RATE: $30 - $35/hr
